Chelsea confirmed the signing of youngster Daniel Sturridge from Man City

Daniel Sturridge rejected a new deal at Manchester City.

Reports suggest that Chelsea and Manchester City have agreed a deal that could be around 5 million pounds for the 19 year old striker.

There were also rumors circulating that Aston Villa and West Ham United are also interested in signing the teenager. But it was Carlo Ancelotti who got his signature.

Daniel Sturridge, who is the nephew of former Derby County striker Dean Sturridge, made his debut for Manchester City in Feb 2007 against Reading.

During his City career, he scored six goals in 32 games in all competitions, with the majority of his appearances coming from the bench.
