Football Career

Theo Walcott

Started his football with AFC Newbury. Walcott scored more than 100 goals in his in his only one season for Newbury, before he left for Swindon Town and then moved to Southampton youth side.

In 2004-2006 season he played for Southampton youth side that reached the final of FA youth cup.

Senior Team debut

Theo Walcott made his full first team debut for Southampton on 18 October 2005, playing against Leeds United, and scoring his first goal in the same match. Walcott made 21 appearances for Southampton and scored 4 goals.

Transfer to Arsenal

Currently, Walcott is playing at Arsenal as a striker or winger. In January 2006, Walcott signed for Arsenal. And he made his Premier League debut on 19th August 2006.

Walcott scored his first Premier league goal in a match against Birmingham City FC at St. Andrews, on 23rd February 2008.

Walcott was assigned Thierry Henry’s number 14 shirt in the 2008–09 season after Henry left for Barcelona.

Performances for England

On 6th September 2008, Walcott made his first competitive start in a World Cup qualifier against Andorra. On 10 September 2008, in a match against Croatia he scored his first international goal and became the youngest player in history to score a hat-trick for England.
