Wins for Real Madrid and Barcelona

Barca Striker Thierry Henry scored the equalising goal late on before the playmaker Lionel Messi scored from penalty spot right at the very last moment of the game to keep Barcelona three points behind league leaders Villarreal.
Espanyol with their player sent off were leading 1-0, angry Barca fans threw flares at the celebrating Espanyol fans and referee temporarily had to stopped the game in the 69th minute.
Thierry Henry equalised four minutes after the restart.
Espanyol had taken the lead under controversial circumstances in the 19th minute with Ferran Coro scored after his team-mate Luis Garcia appeared to foul Barcelona’s goalkeeper Victor Valdes who dropped the ball.
Espanyol’s Nene was sent off for a stray elbow, Barca’s Lionel Messi scored the winner.
Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory at Real Betis came when Ruud van Nistelrooy converted Arjen Robben’s 91st minute through ball.
Earlier, defender Gabriel Heinze opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 19th minute after heading in Rafael van der Vaart’s cross.
Real now are just a point behind the leaders Villarreal in the La liga standings.
